Indore District Court has sentenced six people including former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, former MP Premchand Guddu to one year imprisonment. A fine of five thousand rupees has also been imposed on all. The matter is related to the dispute in Ujjain.

In the case of dispute in Ujjain, the District Court has sentenced six accused including former Chief Minister of MP Digvijay Singh and Premchand Guddu to one year each. Also fined five thousand rupees each. Three accused are acquitted.
The case pertains to the year 2011. On the arrival of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, BJYM workers showing black flags to him were assaulted. In this case, the police had registered a case against Digvijay Singh, Premchand Guddu, Jaisingh Darbar, Mukesh Bhati, Aslam Lala, Mahesh Parmar, Anant Narayan Meena under various sections. Ujjain’s BJYM leader Jayant Rao had lodged a case at Jivajiganj police station. ABVP office-bearer Amay Apte had alleged that he was attacked with a fatality. In this case, Digvijay Singh reached Indore on Saturday and appeared in the district court. Judge Mukesh Nath pronounced the sentence. However, only after the sentencing, the process of bail was started.
